The story
After a career in elite sport I started as an accountant at KPMG. Still pen and paper, thousands of ticks on paper documents. Sport discipline became a methodical way of working.
I saw that finance and technology would become inseparable. I taught myself data science and AI, years before it went mainstream.
Registered as RA. Just as important: a clearer picture of how data and AI would change how companies actually operate.
The European Commission announced that Corporate Sustainability Reporting (CSRD) would become mandatory for tens of thousands of companies. SKY DUST was founded to make that reporting workable with AI, from an audit background and software building.
EFRAG published the first batches of the new CSRD standards. We applied the platform to heavy reporting duties: structure, evidence and control in one system.
When mandatory CSRD implementation in the EU was postponed, we restructured. The same discipline (sources, dossiers, approval) moved to the work that keeps small teams running: sales, operations, marketing and knowledge.
